A waterproof formula that lasts for 24 hours and can be used as a foundation or a concealer. Sounds too good to be true, right?
As a beauty addict/obsessive/junkie (whatever you want to label me…) I thought I’d stumbled across most products. I was wrong. I came across this MAC Pro Longwear foundation whilst browsing the MAC counter last week. I wanted a longer lasting foundation that was slightly more natural than my Estee Lauder Double Wear (legendary) but that would still give me a medium to full coverage, ideally a satin-type finish and would last through rain or shine.
I only went to MAC for a lipstick but came out with what I would class as an iconic product. It actually repels moisture from the face so if you break into a slight ‘sweat’ whilst legging it from Selfridges to Zara in the Summer heat then don’t fret! MAC’s Pro Longwear has you covered. Literally. It’s also great to wear if you’re going ‘out out’ as it’ll have staying power when you’re in a sweaty club or cracking some moves on the dancefloor.
The great thing about this foundation is that it’s actually lightweight and so doesn’t feel heavy on your skin like some foundations can. On application, it just glides onto the skin and doesn’t clump or dry quickly making blending so easy. At £26 for 25ml it’s reasonably priced for a prestige beauty product and well worth the dollar. You can even just mix say two pea sized amounts with your usual foundation, which is something I’ve tried too, just to get a stronger coverage with a satin finish (and not a mask-like look!).
This is the result (my shade is NC35). I’ve also put my usual Tom Ford bronzer in ‘Gold Dust’ and blusher in ‘Frantic Pink’ over the top. I’ve kept my lipstick nude with MAC ‘Peach Stock’…
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this foundation. Even if you don’t wear it on a daily basis, perhaps have it as your go-to for evening glam. It’s a must in your make up bag!
You can buy this foundation directly from MAC’s website here http://bit.ly/2cbIQxO or just pop into a department store if you need to get matched with your shade.
