Preened and Polished: OPI ‘My Chihuahua Bites!’ nail polish review

I’m a polish-aholic, okay.

This wasn’t always the case though. I actually used to find the very act of going to get my nails done a chore, a bore, a nuisance… and also tended to really hate doing my nails myself (if at all – don’t choke now).

It’s only in the last couple of years that I’ve really become addicted to nail polish. It may sound silly, and guys will never understand this, but having your nails painted just makes you feel so much better; so much more….preened! Do you remember when gel polish came out a few years ago? There was SO much hype around it – chip resistant, two week wear, conquer the world with gels! I can honestly say the hype is real. I’ve never looked back since using gel polish because it’s just so much better for a busy lifestyle. It dries quicker, lasts longer and looks glossier too.

I always go for a dark or berry red for Autumn/Winter but for me, Summer is all about nudes and bright reds or corals. The colour you can see in the picture below is OPI’s ‘My Chihuahua Bites!’. It’s gel polish and can be bought directly from OPI’s UK website I got mine done at my local nail salon but if you’ve got the skills then definitely preen and polish yourself!

I was blown away by this colour when I first saw it; it’s a really bright red/orange – a true coral that’s perfect for Summer days. So what’s so special about OPI? Well, OPI is the world’s leading professional nail care brand – we all know the name. The brand sells over 55,000,000 bottles of nail polish each year too…..that speaks for itself really. Urmmm, and their headquarters are in Hollywood too which makes me like the brand even more….

I can’t recommend this colour enough if you’re looking for a startling, attention grabbing, A-list look! I love rose gold jewellery with bright coral nails and a tan too as it makes me feel ultra-glamorous.

So go and get yourself preened and polished! Purchase a bottle of this little beauty and you’ll be addicted. Just like me.
